Scott Gibson emerged victorious from his European Light-Heavyweight title bout with Czech champion Lukas Wolf. Gibson had control of the fight from the start and kept Wolf at bay throughout the ten round clash.

The challenger received a blow to the eye in the early rounds, which swelled as the fight progressed. Gibson said: “I’ve had one like this before in the first round, but I’m pretty tough and durable”. This didn’t faze him though, as he maintained a tight defence and picked his moments to launch a barrage of attacks on his Czech opponent.

Wolf was able to take Gibson down at one stage, but it was more of a throw to quell Gibson’s attacks and the challenger sprang up and maintained his game plan. Gibson stated: “I caught him with some good shots, and that’s what was on my mind, getting back on him.”

By round 10 Wolf had little left, and Gibson’s final flourish removed any possible doubt that the belt would be changing hands. Gibson finished: “I was really happy with what I came to do, and I’ve brought the belt back to Brighton.”
